Mood swings, Dakshinachitra and Diwali Wishes
Monday, October 31st, 2005I am not in the best of spirits of late. Some turbulence in my mind. None but myself to blame. Some time back my blog was my shrink. I used to write whatever i want and then would recover on my own. This is one outlet that never complained. But then my blog is not what it used to be. There are some incorrigibly optimistic people aka my dear readers who visit in the hope that i write something sensible.
Today, i wanted to do something to lift my mind but not sure what to do.
I am not someone who would drown in spirits either. I was desperate for a change.
And I decided to go to Dakshinachitra.
DakshinaChitra is a fascinating open-air, real-time museum which showcases the unique character of the traditional South Indian life style providing also for the particular arts and crafts, music and dance of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
I really really loved the atmosphere. It was as if the ambience was welcoming me with arms wide open. And the statues existed just to pose for me.
The entry fee is Rs. 50 for Indian Adults. They have a restaurant inside. They allow still cameras for free. But video cameras come with a price tag of Rs. 50. Tripods are not allowed.
And the pics… do let me know your feedback. One of the most satisfying days in recent memories.
And did i tell you my story will start rolling from tomorrow, hopefully ![]()
Wish you all a happy, grand and glorious Diwali
