@narayanan sir

let me give u an example...
Do u have any idea about coimbatore in 97-98?
who was ruling the state in 97-98?
how come things r better now?

A *lot* depends on the policies of the govt in charge.

And am not for trains or buses to Pakistan. its just one rogue nation. i am never comfortable when our Indian cricket team tours pakistan.

There are lakhs and lakhs of illegal immigrants pouring into and already into India from Bangladesh and other places.

Fundamentalist agenda are at best insane. there is no point in having an open border and engaging in peace talks.

we just dont learn our lesson - since our partition days to now.

Time and again our BSF ppl have been lured and trapped and taken into bangaladesh and killed.
what does our govt do?
keep mum. engage in talks.

Go and shake hands and then all is forgotten.

the tragedy is, we r instrumental in the creation of independent bangladesh.

@cynical

am not advocating putting the security in every street corner.
there is something called being proactive.

our govtmts dont act fearing backlash in the elections.

First - Not sure why everything is blamed from across the border.!!

Are we certain here that it is the work of a foreign group.!! IMHO, let's wait and see.!

PK - Do you feel that the bus services etc..increase the possiblities of terror attacks? I don't think so. I am for more buses/trains..infact no borders.!!

Dear Prabu Karthik,

Nice post. May I add that this is not about right wing or left wing. This is about protecting lives of all our citizens. However, we cannot put in security in every soft target even if we remove Z+ security for our politicians. Ultimately, we have to confront terror from where it emnates viz. Pakistan and their new lapdog Bangaldesh.

regards,

Its the shame in India people will get away with anything.

The future is not good, most trouble is going to come for Maoist,naxals i read it some where that their arm power is so much they are ready to take on our army (scary one)

God save our country

@naikutti

Welcome here.
when i mean protecting the citizens, i am not talking abt putting the security forces all over the place. what the hell, they will be shot down too.

i think the govt. have been far too lenient on some terrorist sympathisers in India. they r scared to ruffle some minority feathers and losing out on their votes...

And same has to be said with the soft-go approach across the border.

Whether Human rights activists shout or not, its the security forces' main responsibility to maintain law and order with minimum injustice.

And regarding my last line, i felt we r(including me of course) more conerned about our inner divisions hardly realising the danger that awaits us.
