It is very important for each and evryone to realize the important of the environment and earth!

If you look at how “save the earth” came: it is usually save the people and hence save the earth else, nature will have its own say of how to get things to “natural” equilibrium by means of natural disasters!

i wanted to highlight abt buildings precisely because it goes unnoticed. A sky-scraper or a multi-storied apartment is seen as a symbol of prosperity. There is an environment cost as well.

Laurie baker was one of the foremost of the people architects in India.

Till i heard abt him i always thought great architects were those who design huge trendy buildings - concretised versions of thotta tharani sets.

Fule and water especially were very valid points. As for smaller houses, rooms and windows - what you say makes sense. Lesser raw materials and environmental degradation. But I am just thinking aloud here. How much of an impact is it going to make ? As for water/fuel etc, the impact can be seen. People now understand these better.

And like you, I had decided not to do any more tags. But this one, I couldn’t pass !
