I had a samarthu payaan friend (samarthu by appearance) @ school did what the "Boys" do in the movie. Whenever I went to his home his Patti would admonish me for not observing various religious ceremonies and rituals - perform Sandhyavandhanam and all that, like her grandson. Little did she know that her own clean shaven grandson. This guy would be one the guys who would lift the the Swami Pallaku during local festivals, etc. But I think you are oversimplyfying things a bit - maybe sometimes RajKiran times are, well, Raj Kiran types :-) Absolutely true.
