When new replaces old!
Old eye shot using the new eye
I am sure a lot of people may wonder what’s so special or great about these simple, straight forward pics, but these kind of amateur table top photography is my first love!

when I had the enthu few yrs back, I tried lot of this table top photography.. unfortunately, it was a film based camera and I spent so much money on that.. digi cams are a real blessing.

Dei Karthi,
I can certainly appreciate the beauty of “still life” macros. Both of your photos are beautiful. I liked this better because of the light / shadow effect.
If you were wondering whatever happened to my photo blog, it still continues…but in a very different way. Check out http://tastypalettes.blogspot.com. I have learnt a lot about macros, studio / indoor lighting etc, from this effort although its predominantly updated by my wife. The blog is about food / cooking etc, but with a little bit of twist exploring food photography / macros etc.
I have long since outgrown my Canon Powershot Pro1 (its an excellent camera though). I am looking to get an upgrade into an SLR this year and this week I have been pondering over Canon’s 40D and Nikon’s D300. Both are excellent cameras and I have been impressed with both for different reasons. Seeing your Nikon lens bought back memories of my old Nikon film SLR.
Now that you have new glass…hoping to see more of your macro gems.
