Have you ever wondered about the need for 2 flyovers in peters road - one after the other? I honestly don’t think the Satyam cinemas cross needs a flyover.

These one ways have eased the traffic a lot. I feel comfortable in travelling those lanes than earlier.

I dont wanna sound cribbish, but why is there no planning done before the bridges are built. There is still a pile-up at the coner during peak-time cos the side-lanes are still narrow. I’m aregular user of this road and I dont see much of a difference.

There is no point in calling them fly-overs. These are normal over-bridges constructed with votes in mind. There is no way the scene at Kodambakkam is going to change until something is done about the traffic between Vadapalani Busstand and Liberty Bridge.

In fact, as the joke goes, we would probably save more fuel (than the ships) if the Duraisamy Sethu and Kodambakkam Sethu are taken care-of. After all there would be no contro here. Everyone knows these are man-made

same appreciation goes for some innovative traffic rulesi.e like making a big road one way and making the traffic switch sides simultanesously - Sardar Patel road, Ashok Pillar etc is downright scary and may not work in any other country. But it works in chennai and thats what matters.

Unfortunately, they lost the elections and the next Govt. didn’t bother.

Again - when DMK came back…I thought that was it..but looks like they are doing a decent job.
