Few yrs back, I was checking the status of my mom's passport application through the web. You get something called file number or application number (a 6 or 7 digit number) and that brings you all the details. Keep incrementing or decrementing the file number and you can find the other applicant's details on hand... Everything including name, address, date of application and what not. That is a far more serious breach of one's privacy. This is NOT suprising at all!!!

Sigh! Even though I don't know who they are (thankfully it doesn't reveal the full address), I can see intruders getting a list of all the people just by writing a simple script.
