I have always wondered…
I have always wondered about India’s unemployment problem when organizations like “Vaishnava Dharma Samrakshana” do what tried to do to ‘Dasavatharam’.
I have always wondered how come such organizations do nothing against the political leadership of Tamil Nadu who openly and vehemently ridicule Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Why don’t they go on a fast unto death to remove such CMs of Tamil Nadu? Probably they fear, and quite rightly, that they will be beaten to death with no necessity for fasting.
I have always wondered why its always Kamal whose movies gets into trouble, maybe Kamal Haasan is seen as a soft target.
I have always wondered why people who TRY to be objective and reasonable in general are always perceived as soft targets in India??
I have always wondered… well forget it… no point… how do we wake up people who feign sleep?
Note:
I try to avoid posting on films. But yesterday’s judgement by the High Court and the time and money wasted to get such verdict made me write this. Perhaps we may not have seen the end of comedies like this yet!

Indian has seen 1000s of atheist rulers, even we had muslim rulers. We never protested them. We silently followed our beleifs. That manifested in great incarnataions which influenced people in adhere to religion for centuried to come. God is personal thing. When certain rules are followed realisation is evident. We don’t have to waste time on opposing or answering them.

Yeah, maybe it’s a stunt by the Dasavadhani himself..to gain popularity..( remember Sandiyar Controversy) .

I agree.
This post is less about instigating protests against atheist rulers even thought that would not be half as ridiculous than banning ‘dasavatharam’
Kamal naale silaruku special gaandu.. because he challenges lot of prevalent notions in his deeds.
Forward community guy yet manages to be popular..
Does not identify with his community or religion for whatever reason.
Does not align with any political party.
Does not have blind supporters as other film stars.
Defies damil kalachaaram as he lives in with his partner.
I feel these are the reasons why he is strategically targeted for sometime..
As we can see, all this are his personal stuff but yet irks some forces.
On the other hand, the same forces keep mum under conditions or statements which are far more threatening than Kamal.
Honestly I am agnostic but I see most of the practices in Hinduism have enormous psychological relevance and hence have respect for anything which deserves respect. This is my personal take.

Ahaa neraya conspiracy books padipingalo? I have reasons to believe Virumaandi fiasco was not stage managed by Kamal.
Padam mudinju promotion time la vandha controversy illai adhu.. he got into trouble even while shooting. He lost truck loads of money as his shooting got canceled repeatedly.

There are lot more important issues than a kamal movie. For eg: Ram Seethu. People can claim it does not exist and can brand u a fool if u side it but then u need to have belief.

i agree there are lot more important issues… but tamilnadu politicans have always dealt with freedom of expression by brute force..
and kamal, for right or wrong reasons hvae always been at the receiving end..hence this post..
i am not clear on what you think about ram sethu issue
