‘Avatar’ - if i find a film boring the first time, it’s hard for me to watch that six times to find the more interesting things in that movie.. this logic is not very different from ‘thirumba thirumba kaetta indha song pidikkum’ logic :)

At the risk of sounding like the "India Shining" crowd, I have to say this sounds like Advaitam in places. I am not saying he drew inspiration, it's just that the parallels are so striking, esp as expressed through some of the powerful, but simple dialogue. Idha edukka oru producer, oru mega star ellarumey ready anga. Check out the wikipedia page for the movie - some interesting titbits. I found the lengthy dream states correspond to very little time in the parent state, idea fascinating, especially since we can easily relate to that - during brief afternoon naps, we sometimes dream very elaborately, and these dreams exceed the duration of that short nap. To get back to the parallels, The 'I' (as in the 'I am the body' idea) rises projects the world and then takes part in this mayai. Day dreaming / dreaming are also similar.
